Carl Stone: アメリカを代表するエレクトロ・アコースティック作曲家／デジタル音楽の魔術師。今回は主に[声]を素材にして、とお願いした。彼の手の中で声はどう変容するのだろう。
In Carl's hands, the computer becomes a truly sublime instrument. Whether seamlessly flowing or jagged-edged staccato, his sound is always supremely musical. Here, he'll bring his unique compositional sensibilities to bear on samples of the human voice.
Skist (Ito Haruna & Samm Bennett): ポップソングの皮を剥いでみたら、これが残った。声、リズム、メロディ、音の手触り、化学反応をおこした後に残った記憶。できるだけむき出しに、うたの核を見てみたかった。
Sinuous vocal melodies weave through a latticework of Africanesque rhythm, rich harmonic drones and electronic crackle. The ever-shifting balance of primal musical elements in a near-mystical union of the cyclic and the random.
